How much is the deposit for an off-the-plan property?

The standard deposit is typically 10% upon exchange of contract (signing) and the rest due at settlement. Just before settlement most buyers will then engage a lender to borrow between 50%-80% depending on their financial situation.

What costs are involved?

The costs involved during an off-the-plan property buying process excluding expression of interest and initial deposits, mainly include solicitor fees and stamp duty (if applicable).
